If you’re worried about someone else's mental health and wellbeing, there are a number of things you can do.

  1. Talk
  2. Report
  3. Get support

Talk - If you're worried about someone, you can check in with them and see how they are and whether they feel comfortable to talk through your concerns. You can also offer to call the crisis team with them if as long as your have their consent to make the call and you are physically. They might appreciate your support with this. If you're not comfortable addressing someone about their mental health and wellbeing, flag them to to our teams (see "Report" and "Get Support" options below). If believe someone is in immediate danger or seriously injured, you should call 999. For staff/faculty: Trade unions are organised groups of workers who come together to support each other in the workplace. There are a number of trade unions in our industry including TCU, TUC and NTU and you can contact them to see what support they can provide.

Report - You can make an anonymous disclosure via this platform which will allow us to investigate mental wellbeing concerns about a classmate or a colleague. You can also make a disclosure in person with the relevant team (see below).

Get support - Students can reach out to the Student Affairs team to learn more about how to support their peers. Check out our Student Affairs page for more information about the services we provide or to book a meeting. You can also always visit us in person M-F 9am-5pm in the Student Hub on our Chiswick campus. For staff/faculty: Please contact HR if you want to discuss how you can best support someone.
